These are pictures of my 2001 Hoffman Challenge Quilt. It was not a placed winner, however it was chosen to tour the country until fall 2002.
2001 Hoffman Challenge Quilt
This quilt was done using the Hoffman Challenge fabric (butterflies on black background), a few other Hoffman Batiks, and many of my own Hand dyed fabrics. The flower was done with machine applique, while the butterlies themselves were done with a combination of reverse applique and needle turn applique. The beading that creates the stamin in the center of the flower is done with garnet beads, my birthstone. Size is 32x32"
